Lowie Love Stories
Clothes have a special power that can, at times, feel akin to something magical. Through our clothes, we can present ourselves—without saying so much as a word—our personality and our values. Fashion lends itself well to nostalgia. Our favourite pieces transport us to another time or place in our life. We slip into who we were and who really we are. Why else would we feel so loving towards our clothes? Dressing as ourselves we give self-empowerment a tactile and visual conduit. Wear what brings you joy.
At Lowie, we try to design and bring you pieces that are joyful and make you feel good about what you wear. You can’t help but smile a bit when you put it on. For us, there’s nothing more satisfying than seeing Lowie out in the world being worn by people who love what they’re wearing.
Last year we started the Instagram account @lowiefriends. On this account, we post all our fave pics of our gorgeous customers in their beloved Lowie pieces.
This year we wanted to celebrate Valentine’s Day, not by buying tons of chocolate or heart-shaped balloons (although I’m sure we’ll indulge in a bit of the former before the end of the week) but by sharing some of our Lowie friends and the stories behind their favourite Lowie pieces. We’ve asked them to share what makes them feel confident and filled with joy. So, we wanted to pass along a few of their Lowie love stories. We'll be adding as the week rolls on, so stay tuned.

"From Belarus with Love! I started 2020 with a trip to Minsk to advance one of my long-term passion projects – mastering Russian! Having signed up to an intensive programme of language lessons and cultural activities, I knew that I needed to pack a wardrobe that was versatile, comfortable and above all warm!
"I first reached for my trusted Lowie Paisley Maxi Pinafore Dress that has been with me since 2017 and can be combined with a range of jumpers and layers. Not surprisingly, it looked completely at home in some of the more rustic Belarusian interiors! Another treasure in my suitcase was the Lowie Velvet Berries Dress, which could easily be layered over a polo neck to shield me from the winter cold. Armed with these stunning and fuss-free dresses, I could spend my 10 days in Minsk focussing on absorbing the language and culture without having to worry about what to wear. My kind of love story indeed!"

Relaxing in my Lowie jumpsuit...I wear it to walk the dog, out to dinner & it was perfect for an evening of 'curling' (yes, the curious bowls-on-ice sport) last week - so fantastically comfy...When he first saw it, my eldest said, 'hey, you really look like you could fix a boiler in that...' Which I took as a compliment.
I 💙 it.
