Humans have an extraordinary ability to create. Unfortunately, one thing we seem to be creating a lot of is waste. Overwhelmingly, it feels like we're living in a throw-away society—things are made to be disposable. It's so easy. Put something in the bin and never think of it again. In the UK alone, 300,000 tonnes of clothing ends up in the landfill each year.  It's disheartening for us, not only as lovers and protectors of the environment but as makers who spend a lot of time creating something that we see as meaningful. We hate the idea of Lowie contributing to the problem. We feel a responsibility for our pieces even after they've left our shops. That's why we offer Free-Repairs for Life. But we can be doing more. So, we're going to. 

To extend the life of all Lowie pieces, we have created Re-Love Lowie. Re-Love Lowie is a clothing recycling program intended to reduce waste and to give every Lowie garment a chance at life beyond its initial wearer.

Here’s how it works: 

You bring in a piece of used Lowie that you’re ready to part with to either of our stores. We're only accepting clothing not accessories. It doesn’t matter if it needs repairs, we can do those. Just make sure the garment is clean and moth free. For each piece of Lowie brought in, you get a voucher for 20% off an in-store purchase of any Lowie brand piece. You can use one voucher per visit, so you can spread out the savings. And each voucher is valid for 12 months from your drop off date. We’ll keep a digital record of any vouchers you have, so you don’t have to stress about keeping track of anything, and it’ll help us keep Re-Love Lowie paper-free. 

A few times a year, we host a sample sale. At these sample sales, we sell one-offs, samples in your favourite fabrics, and covetable pieces from seasons past. This is also where you’ll be able to pick up some of the Lowie that we’ve collected throughout the year. Picking up Lowie at a discounted price while helping to keep clothing out of the landfill? We can’t think of anything better.
