Who doesn’t love opening a cardboard box? Well Bronwyn does so much she decided to open a shop! Its always an exciting treat when the delivery man knocks on the door, April the dog barks madly and we get to rip open fresh new products for the shops. What is even more exciting is when it is from some new brands. So I’m going to share some of our excitement with you and take you through a few of our newest additions to the Lowie family.

 

These were particularly exciting for the girls in the office. Peruse our website and you can see these trainers look like they have been produced at the Flump marshmallow factory- alas they have not, BUT they are all made in the UK. Yull received funding from the Princes trust to set up manufacturing in the UK for high heels and shoes and Yull is one of the only independent shoe brands producing in the UK.

Now this brand really make our day. Husband and wife Jam and Ali produce their funny and happy designs from their home studio in Worthing, West Sussex. Still only selling on Etsy Hello Dodo are an emerging brand and we are so pleased to stock them online and in our stores. Take a look at their sweatshirts. 

 

YKRA is our new super cool backpack brand. Hailing from Budapest, YKRA is an independent family run business passionate about quality materials and technical production techniques. YKRA produce all of their bags by hand in Hungary which has a long tradition of quality craftsmanship. What is even cooler is that you can buy their natural magic beeswax to waterproof your bag from the elements, its super easy and you can go crazy waterproofing all your belongings! Beautifully dreamy and quietly quirky brand Thinking Mu joins us for SS18. Sustainability is high up on their priority list especially when It comes to what they make their clothes from. They use organic fabrics including organic hemps, banana fabric and corduroys, their leather is chrome free and polyester is recycled from plastic bottles. As well as this they encourage and feature other people and brands who are doing something beneficial to the world and sharing their views.

Blundstone originates from Tasmania which is where Lowie owner Bronwyn is from and she has grown up with the brand since she was small, so getting them into her stores is like a little dream come true. The boot brand has remained in Tasmania since 1870 where they design and produce styles. Starting as a family business Blundstone retain their strong family heritage to this day. Get a pair here.
