Herne Hill Film Fest is back, bringing a brilliant programme of independent cinema, local storytelling and community spirit to the heart of South London. We’re delighted that Lowie is sponsoring a screening of One Battle After Another as part of this year’s festival.
Now celebrating its 13th year, the festival has become a much-loved local tradition. Since launching in 2013, it has screened more than 180 feature films and 138 short films to around 23,000 local residents — a wonderful reflection of how film can bring communities together. Entirely volunteer-run, Herne Hill Film Fest is part of the wider Free Film Festivals network, helping make culture accessible, welcoming and free for everyone.

As a proudly independent South London brand, community and creativity have always been at the centre of everything we do. From our Herne Hill roots to the customers, neighbours and makers who have supported us over the years, Lowie has always believed in championing local culture and meaningful connection. Supporting the festival feels like a natural extension of that spirit.
We’re especially pleased to be sponsoring One Battle After Another, the festival’s opening screening, taking place on 1st May at Carnegie Library Hub. It promises to be a fantastic evening and a joyful start to this year’s celebrations.

One of the things we love most about Herne Hill Film Fest is the way it transforms local spaces into places of cinema and connection. This year’s screenings take place across some brilliant neighbourhood venues including Carnegie Library Hub, Brockwell Hall, Prince Regent Pub, Brockwell Park Community Greenhouses, Brockwell Lido, 21 Effra and Herne Hill Baptist Church — a lovely reminder of the creativity right on our doorstep.
We hope you’ll join us in celebrating another wonderful year of Herne Hill Film Fest. See you at the cinema.
